Today lets talk GNS3. For those of you that are serious about gaining network knowledge and ultimately- network certification, GNS3 is probably going to be the vehicle that gets you there- especially if you want to do it for FREE.
I’m not going to go into the details as you can find all the details you want at their website – GNS3. Suffice it to say that I LOVE it and it works very well.
GNS3 is mainly for routers but some basic switching functionality is included to help interconnect devices. When you are ready to start labbing up what you’ve learned and cannot afford to buy the real equipment, this is what you will need to keep pushing forward.
