Wireshark is another great free tool for network engineers to use. It is invaluable when it comes to troubleshooting some of the toughest issues. The ability to inspect individual packets and make sense out of them is very much necessary in certain environments or when troubleshooting complex issues. Wireshark itself is free and can be found at Wireshark Website. What I’m giving to you today are a couple of sites that will help introduce you to Wireshark and how to use it effectively.
The first site is LoveMyTool. I recently came across this site and it is a good repository of helpful information. From this site I’ve already found a dozen other sites that are very helpful.
Another site I wanted to show you is VIAVI Solutions. This site hosts several helpful and FREE Wireshark webinars.
