Things that do not quite fit elsewhere.
Questions:
- Will you help me find IOS images? No, absolutely not.
- Will you help me find dumps? No, absolutely not.
- What are your career goals? CCIE R&S to start, from there…the sky!
- What is your learning strategy? I think there is a definite order to go in when studying Cisco.
- First- I think you should listen to any audio or videos that are available. This will be your introduction and will help you to quickly understand where your weaknesses are.
- Then- quickly read through whatever supplemental material you are studying, take brief notes and make a list of the major areas you need to strengthen.
- Next- I think it is time for some practical application. Try to get as much hands-on experience in the lab as possible in all areas. This step is crucial, it should form a bond between your theoretical and practical knowledge. This is the knowledge solidification step. Build a strong foundation!!
- Then- go back and read through the material again and this time try to absorb and understand as much of it as possible. Read and re-read until you get it, make sure you’re hitting those weak areas hard.
- Finally- go back through the lab and solidify your understanding.
- Ultimately– you will want to be able to do the labs with no notes, only leveraging the cues in the problems and your past experience.
- Any other cool tips? Yes, you are not trying to get through this material for the sake of just getting through it. You are trying to retain this information and build on it later. You are building blocks of knowledge that need to be solid to bear the weight of what is to come. Do not get stuck in a mentality where you think completing a Lab is the end game. The end game is when you can do this stuff in your sleep.
